The P3ProSwing™ has very minimal requirements - you just need a computer and enough room to swing a club! The base software can use almost any computer new or old; however, the new virtual courses, additional features and upgrades require some additional processing
power. Please refer to the information below for computer requirements.
System requirements for P3ProSwing Virtual Golf Course Collections:
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
- 2.0 Ghz multi-thread processor (dual or quad core) or 3.0 Ghz single-thread processor
- 9 GB hard drive space (minimum)
- 3 GB required (anything less than this may work, but ball flight and program processing may be choppy/slow)
- 512 MB dedicated 3D graphics card minimum (1 GB strongly recommended). Onboard & Integrated graphics cards are not supported or recommended.
- DirectX9.0c (lastest drivers recommended)
- DirectX compatible sound card
- DVD Drive
- 2 Free USB Ports
- P3ProSwing Software Version 4.2 or greater
P3ProSwing Swing Analysis Software System Requirements:
The following systems will support all of the P3ProSwing™ swing analysis functions(see Full Motion Graphics requirements as well), golf simulation and game functions:
- Windows XP (512 MB Ram minimum)
- Windows Vista/Windows 7 – 32-bit systems : 1 GB Ram minimum
- Windows Vista/Windows 7 – 64-bit systems : 2 GB Ram minimum
- CLARET Sensor Unit: minimum of 2 available USB Ports
NOTE: The above requirements for USB Ports are for running the software and do not include requirements for items such as cameras and other peripherals.
For Full Motion Graphics:
• 256 Mb Dedicated 3-D Graphics Accelerator Card (i.e., Nvidia GeForce3, GeForce4, ATI Radeon, etc.)
• Audio card with speakers
Note: Many integrated video cards may work, but others have had issues. Thus, we only support the use of a dedicated video card. The Mobile Intel 4 Graphics chipset will appear to work fine but will cause a few of the course fairways to display as black instead of the normal grass.
For Video Capture you will need:
• 256 Mb Dedicated 3-D Graphics Accelerator Card (i.e., Nvidia GeForce3, GeForce4, ATI Radeon, etc.)
• 2.0Ghz multi-thread processor (dual or quad core) or 3.0 Ghz single-thread processor
• 1 Gb RAM, 2 Gb recommended
• At least 1 USB 2.0 controller for each USB video camera or 1 firewire 1394 port for each firewire camera
- Each camera MUST be recognized by your computer as an Imaging Device, thus we recommend web cameras for video capture.
NOTE: Many new Digital Video Cameras are computer compatible, but when attached to the computer are recognized as a storage device (hard drive) and not as an imaging device. Please check with the camera manufacturer for details on how the camera is recognized by the computer.
• At least 1 USB 1.1+ port for the required security dongle
Windows 7:
PC Game Interface is not Windows 7 compatible.
If you are purchasing a computer:
We recommend that you meet the recommended settings for the new virtual golf course software. This will save you any hassles of upgrading later if you decide to purchase it. It is much more cost effective to buy the system already set up to P3ProSwing specs, than to buy a system and upgrade later.
For Windows Vista:
Be sure to download all the Windows Vista Updates including the Optional Updates. The Optional Updates usually include updated video card drivers for Vista. If you do not have "Moving Pictures Available" after you install all of the updates, you may need to update your graphics card driver from the manufacturer's website.
