Package considerations
There are two main systems:
1. Club tracking
2. Ball Tracking
A playable system can consist of
1. Club tracking only
2. Ball tracking only
3. Club and ball tracking combination
Club tracking only
Advantages:
Club-tracking captures club speed, path and face angle for detailed swing analysis.
System can calculate ball spin and spin axis tilt for fades, draws, hooks and slices.
Draw backs:
The system requires the player to place the ball in a specific place on the mat (with or without a tee)
If you choose just club-tracking then ball speed (smash factor) and direction are calculated from the measured club speed, path and face angle.
Ball tracking only
Advantages:
Ball speed and direction are measured and not just calculated.
The player is not required to place the ball in a specific place. Ball can be placed anywhere behind the ball track sensors.
Ball track only systems are very suitable for pure game play and fun at home and in commercial enviroments such as sports bars, hotels etc.
Draw backs:
Club data is not being captured which means that ball spin and spin axis tilt for fades and draws can only be estimated.
Club and ball tracking combination
This is the ideal setup. However, you can start off with just club tracking or ball tracking and add the missing element at a later date.
